Two More Apartment Complex Robberies

First the thieves tried robbing a couple at the Colony Bay Apartments on Covington Road around 7:20 p.m on Saturday night. According to the Journal Gazette, the couple says two men approached them, one carrying a long-style gun.  The couple ran from the robbers and made it into their apartment building, locking the doors behind them.

They describe one of the robbers as a thin male, 6’1”, wearing a dark blue hooded jacket.

Then around 9:00 p.m. another holdup was reported at Canterbury Green Apartments, near St. Joe and St. Joe Center roads. A robber with a shotgun robbed a man in the parking lot.

No arrests were made in either case and cops aren’t sure if this is a copycat robbery or related to the string of armed apartment complex robberies.
