Two Ohio residents arrested after heroin found during traffic stop, police say

MERCER COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO): Two Ohio residents were arrested after police say they found heroin during a traffic stop on Saturday.

Christopher Haynes, 32, of Celina was arrested on preliminary charges of obstruction and possession of heroin.

Sydney Dicke, 20, of New Bremen was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of heroin.

During a traffic stop at about 1:20 p.m. near Touvelle Street and Burns Avenues in Mercer County, Dicke was trying to move something under her clothes, according the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

She eventually handed over a baggie full of capsules to police. The capsules tested positive for heroin, police said.

Haynes said the heroin belonged to him but he asked Dicke to hide it, according to the sheriff’s office.

The two were booked into jail on a $125,000 bond.

The incident is still under investigation.
