Two tornadoes confirmed for Huntington County

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WOWO): The storms that blew through the area late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning generated two tornadoes in Huntington County.

Meteorologist Matt Leach of 21Alive reports that one of the storms was rated an EF-1 with wind speeds up to 105 miles per hour, while the other was an EF-2 bearing 120-mile per hour winds. Both were confirmed by the National Weather Service.

Fox 59 in Indianapolis reports the storms were both spotted to the southeast of Huntington, both near County Road 200 and County Road 100 East, and both happened just before 1am Thursday.

Nobody was hurt.
