UPDATE: Crews Resume Search of South Bend River for Woman

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP): Indiana Conservation Officers have resumed their search of the Saint Joseph River Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews have been searching the St. Joseph River in downtown South Bend for a woman who was reportedly swept away. Boats were being used to search the river along a downtown park before dawn Tuesday. Crews were called to the site about 1 a.m. Reports say the woman was with a group of people at the park before she went into the river and began struggling in the current.
