FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Friday afternoon, officials with the Three Rivers Festival announced the 2015 parade theme: “Here's to Zoo.”
The slogan is a reference to the Fort Wayne Child's Zoo and of course the Three Rivers Festival. The theme is in honor of the 50th anniversary of the zoo's opening.
Zoo Director, Jim Anderson, says the slogan represents two great things that go well together.
Meanwhile, Jack Hammer, Executive Director of the Three Rivers Festival, took the time during Friday's press conference to outline plans for parade festivities. He says this year's parade will focus more on floats and less on mechanical units. We'll find out more this July.
