Bloomfield Man Who Last Saw Missing Woman Found Dead

BLOOMFIELD, Ind. (AP) – A Bloomfield man has been found stabbed to death about six weeks after he was one of the last people to see a missing woman.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil says the body of 22-year-old D.J. Lockhart was found Thursday evening in a home in Bloomfield, about 65 miles southwest of Indianapolis.

An autopsy was planned Friday.

No arrests have been made.

Lockhart is the former boyfriend of 18-year-old Marina Boelter, who disappeared New Year's Eve after work at the Bloomfield IGA. Lockhart has told police he saw Boelter get into a car with an older man and they drove away. Police have said they've exhausted all leads about the car and man described to them.

Durnil says it's not clear whether the stabbing and the disappearance are connected.
