Utility Company Issues Peak Alert

 


Power Consumption is expected to strain North Western Electric/Paulding Putnam
Electric company. You are being asked to cut back on daily usage.

 

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Officials with a local power company are urging its customers to conserve electricity this afternoon. 

North Western Electric and Paulding Putnam Electric have issued a Peak Alert today from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Today's high temperatures are expected to create high demand for power. 

You are asked to reschedule laundry and baking outside those hours.  

You are also asked to push your air condition temps up three to five degrees. Again, the alert is set for 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
