VAN WERT COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO) – An Ohio City woman died as a result of Thursday’s storms.

Our partners in news at 21 Alive report that The National Weather Service says the woman died after a tree fell on her home. The elderly couple were trapped after the tree came down on top of the attached patio.

The woman was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Her husband was not injured.
