WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): The organic egg industry is growing and a Warsaw official will be leading the charge.

Egg Innovations founder and president John Brunnquell was elected president of the Organic Egg Farmers of America for the 2016 to 2017 year, according to Inside Indiana Business.

He wants to expand awareness and knowledge about animal welfare and move more farms to have chickens be pasture-raised or free range in the future.

Egg Innovations owns Blue Sky Family Farms brand. Blue Sky Family farm says it is the largest originator of 100 percent free range and pasture-raised eggs.
