Waterloo Warehouse Picked Up By City

WATERLOO, Ind. (WOWO): A burned down warehouse has been acquired by the city of Waterloo.

Earlier this year, a warehouse on South Wayne St. burned down and the owner, Virginia Bryant, didn't have insurance and couldn't pay for the clean-up. Bryant, at the time, was charged with arson resulting in bodily injury, with the case pending in court.

Our partners in news at 21Alive report the city has obtained the warehouse and plan to have the site clanged up in the next week or two.

A separate fire destroyed a playground in March, and they hope to start construction in late September.
