FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Students at Whispering Meadows Elementary School (WMES) are celebrating “Random Acts of Kindness” this week, and are inviting the community to take part.

WMES students hand painted more than 400 rocks with inspirational messages or kind words. They plan to place them outside of the school Thursday around 12:45 p.m., and invite the community to take them and place them throughout the city.

The rocks will include the hashtag #WMESBeKind, and those who find the rocks are asked to take a picture and share where the rock was found in a tweet to @WMES_ELEM.

You can view a short video to learn more on whisperingmeadows.sacs.k12.in.us.

Kathryn Lopez, School Counselor at WMES says the project is “a great way for our students and our community to see how far a simple act of kindness travels.”
