COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WOWO): Some good job news for Whitley County.

AJ Machine, a machining company, has announced plans to expand its operations in Columbia City. The company will invest $1-million to build a new facility, adding 14 new jobs over the next five years, according to the Whitley County Economic Development Corporation.

AJ Machine was established in 2002 and specializes in designing and manufacturing gauges, tooling, and automated equipment for the automotive, agricultural, and medical industries, among others.

The company currently has 25 employees, but has outgrown its current location on South Line Street. The new nearly-15,000-square-foot facility will begin construction this month along East Business 30.
