(Saige Driver/News Talk 1190 WOWO)

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Rumor has it President-elect Donald Trump is looking to Indiana for his Secretary of Education.

WFYI in Indianapolis reports the Trump administration is considering former State Superintendent Tony Bennett and US Congressman Luke Messer for the job.

They’re among a handful of possible candidates, but Bennett and Messer may have one big advantage: Vice President-Elect Mike Pence has worked with and met both of them through his work as Governor of Indiana.

Messer might have another advantage: one of his staffers worked as an education adviser to Trump during the campaign.
