Whitley County Farmer Finds Body in Cornfield

SOUTH WHITLEY, Ind. (AP) – Officials say a northeastern Indiana farmer found a car and a body nearby while harvesting a cornfield.

The Whitley County coroner says the farmer made the discovery Sunday in a rural area near the town of South Whitley.

Coroner Randy Dellinger tells The Post & Mail that the body might have been in the field since August and that foul play isn't suspected at this point. Dellinger says an autopsy and DNA testing will be done to determine the person's identity.
