LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Wisconsin man was arrested after he was accused of hitting a buggy with his semi and driving away Wednesday.

At about 4:25 p.m., a semi traveling west on U.S. 20 in LaGrange hit a buggy also traveling west, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department. No one was injured in the crash.

The semi drove away heading west with a flat tire on the passenger’s side, according to police.

Police found the semi to Sheridan Drive in Topeka by following marks on the road from the semi’s tire rim.

The semi driver, Michael Braun, told police he was afraid he killed someone and that is why he drove away, according to police.

Braun was booked into LaGrange County Jail on preliminary charges of leaving the scene of an accident.
