LaPorte County, Ind. (WOWO) — It was early Sunday night when LaPorte County deputies responded to a crash on Greenlawn Drive.

The homeowner reported the nude driver had entered her home and was in the shower.

Officers found a 2007 BMW crashed into a tree, with damage to a basketball hoop.

The homeowner confirmed the driver, 37-year-old Michelle Reeves didn’t live there.

Reeves walked out of the locked bathroom wrapped in a towel.

Investigators say she stole the idling BMW from a nearby home before the crash.

Reeves faces charges of theft, unauthorized entry of a vehicle, criminal mischief, and public nudity.
