St. Joe, Ind. (WOWO): Work is expected to get underway Monday for a stretch of State Road 1 near St. Joe in DeKalb County.

INDOT officials say they’ll close the bridge at Bear Creek north of St. Joe for construction through early August.

The $483,000 project will include resurfacing the deck, bridge wall and rail improvements.

The recommended detour route is I-69 to State Road 8 to State Road 1.
