WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A big Warsaw company saw a big net loss in the second quarter.

Zimmer Biomet is reporting a second quarter net loss of $31.7 million, according to Inside Indiana Business. However, that’s an improvement from the same period last year, when the medical device manufacturer reported a $173.8 million loss. CEO David Dvorak says the improvement was on the top of the company’s expectations.

Second quarter net sales were at $1.93 billion, which is a 66 percent increase from the same period in 2015. Dvorak says the company’s strength in Asia was a big factor.
