$5 million awarded to Allen County for sewer projects

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): On Monday, the Allen County Regional Water and Sewer District announced it received $5 million from the State of Indiana.

The money will be used to improve sanitary sewer projects, which will impact more than 500 homes in rural Allen County, according to our news partners 21Alive.
 
The District hopes to complete the grant and loan process by the end of March. This will help projects started in fall 2015.
 
The project will impact:
·       The community of Yoder
·       Homes and businesses along Wallen Road
·       Homes near the intersections Goshen and Cook roads
·       Gerdings Woodland neighborhoods
·       Whipporwill neighborhood
·       Areas near the community of Hessen Cassell
·       Hursh Road area
·       Berne Way Road areas
