Police pursuit in LaGrange County ends with drug bust, one arrested

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – One man was arrested after a police pursuit in LaGrange County on Friday.

A Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a black GMC Acadia around 8:55 p.m. on 700 S, west of 500 E for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the driver, identified as Stephen Page Jr. of Wolcottville, Ind., put the vehicle back into drive and sped away from the stop.

A pursuit went from the traffic stop location through Wolcottville and Rome City, before it ended on SR 9 near 800 N in Noble County. A Rome City Police Officer successfully deployed stop sticks that flattened three of Page’s tires.

Page was found in possession of approximately 272.5 grams of suspected marijuana, a loaded .380 caliber handgun and drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested and transported to the LaGrange County Jail, where he faces charges of Resisting Law Enforcement with a Motor Vehicle, Dealing in Marijuana, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Reckless Driving, Criminal Recklessness and Carrying a Handgun without a License.
