INDIANA, (WOWO) — Banks was elected to Indiana’s open seat in the U.S. Senate in November and will join U.S. Senator Todd Young, in the U.S. Senate.

It comes after former U.S. Senator Mike Braun was elected as Indiana’s next governor in November.

Sen. Banks most recently served as the Representative for Indiana’s Third District in the United States House of Representatives.

Prior to that, he served in the Indiana State Senate and on the Whitley County Council.
