FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne’s Timothy L. Johnson Academy will continue to operate in the fall. The charter school announced a new partnership Monday with Trine University. In January, the academy’s original sponsor, Ball State University, announced it would not renew its charter with the local school.  The new contract, a three-year deal, requires the academy to improve its performance on state tests and maintain a C grade or better on the state’s accountability system.
