3 Year Sentence for an Angola Man Convicted of Embezzlement

ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): It’s at least three years in prison for an Angola man convicted in an embezzlement case from Battle Creek.

One-half million dollars, that’s how much prosecutors say 57-year-old James Korson stole during a four-year period while employed as a controller at Pyper Products.

He pleaded no contest and is now sentenced to 3 to 20 years in prison.

Meanwhile, Korson is already serving a 20-month to 15-year prison sentence after embezzling money from another company in Jackson County, Michigan, where he worked after leaving Pyper. Korson told the court he’s willing to accept responsibility, make reparations and rebuild his life.
