A Deal is Reached Between the City and Aqua Indiana

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry and the president of Aqua Indiana, Tom Bruns, met this afternoon to announce an agreement.

The city will pay a total $67 million dollars for the water utility. That includes $16.9 million paid in 2008. The deal still needs to be approved by City Council and Aqua Indiana’s Board. The agreement ends more than 10 years of battles.
