FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A call came in just after 8:45 A.M. and crews were on scene at 8:50 A.M. for a fire on Senate Avenue, near Hessen Cassel. Once crews arrived on the scene, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the back of the home.

Firefighters made quick entry into the home where they located one victim. As crews continued to battle the blaze, a second victim was located minutes later. Both subjects were pronounced dead on scene.

As of right now, the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The victims' identification and cause of death will be released later by the Coroner.
