FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating a possible shooting on the city’s southwest side after officers responded to reports of gunfire overnight.

Police were called just after midnight Tuesday to the 1800 block of Hale Avenue for a report of shots fired.

Officers secured the area while investigators processed the scene for nearly two hours. Evidence markers and police tape could be seen in the neighborhood during the investigation.

Authorities have not released information about possible injuries, suspects or arrests.

The investigation remains ongoing.
