ST MARYS, OH (WOWO) A Lima man has been arrested in connection with the death of a St. Marys man who was found unresponsive inside his home in April, according to the St. Marys Police Department.
Authorities tell WLIO 50-year-old Charles A. Stockton was taken into custody on May 26, 2026, and charged with murder and felonious assault in the death of Christopher A. Slone.
Arrest follows monthslong investigation
Police say Slone was found unresponsive in his St. Marys home on April 26, 2026. Officers at the scene initially described the circumstances as suspicious, prompting an ongoing investigation.
The St. Marys Police Department said Stockton was arrested following investigative work conducted over the past month in connection with Slone’s death.
Stockton was transported to the Auglaize County Correctional Center following his arrest.
