Two Injured When Motorcycle Hits Railroad Crossing

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Two people were flown to Parkview Hospital after a motorcycle crash over the weekend. Michael Powell of Spencerville was driving a motorcycle on CR 59 and was coming up to a railroad crossing at CR 42 but reportedly didn't see that the cross arms were down with red lights on because of the sun. According to the Journal Gazette, when Powell finally saw that he needed to stop, he hit the brakes but still went through the intersection and hit one of the cross arms. He and his passenger Connie Cossairt, of Auburn, suffered injuries. Neither wore a helmet.
