ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – A teenage girl was killed and another teen was injured when a semi-truck struck a horse-drawn buggy in Adams County early Friday morning.
The crash happened around 2:10 a.m. on State Road 124 near County Road 200 East in Washington Township.
Authorities say both vehicles were traveling west when the semi collided with the rear of the buggy.
16-year-old Laura Schwartz of Decatur died at the scene, and a teenage boy was taken to a hospital for treatment. The truck driver was not injured.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
