INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO) – The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration is asking SNAP recipients to take part in its new “Healthy Food, Healthy Life” survey beginning Tuesday.
The anonymous survey will be conducted every six months to measure the impact of the state’s Smart SNAP program and gather information about shopping habits, nutrition knowledge and eating behaviors.
Eligible participants will receive a text message from 43816 with a survey link.
State officials emphasize participation is voluntary and will not affect benefits.
Smart SNAP launched January 1 under Governor Mike Braun’s Make Indiana Healthy Again initiative, which restricts SNAP purchases of sugary drinks and candy.
