IndyCar Team Owner Dennis Reinbold Dies at 65

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Dennis Reinbold, founder and owner of the Dreyer & Reinbold IndyCar team, has died following a battle with cancer, according to the team.

Reinbold launched the organization in 1999 and entered competition in the Indy Racing League in 2000. The team earned its first victory the following year at Walt Disney World Speedway with driver Robbie Buhl.

A longtime Indianapolis-area businessman, Reinbold also owned Dreyer & Reinbold car dealerships in Indianapolis and Greenwood. He was 65 years old.
