Bill Involving Use of Legacy Money Withdrawn

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A plan that would use Legacy Fund money to pay for a study on a high-speed rail service has been temporarily derailed. City Councilman Geoff Paddock introduced the plan and later withdrew the bill before it went to a vote on Tuesday.  Paddock said there was concern that taking Legacy Fund money wouldn't be appropriate, that's according to the Journal Gazette. The $200,000 study is required before officials will consider paying for part of the rail project. Paddock says he'll look for another way to fund the proposal and reintroduce the bill next week.
