FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One man is dead after several shots were fired on Fort Wayne’s south side.

Police arrived to the scene of a home on Oliver Street near east Rudisill Boulevard around 3: 30 p.m., Tuesday afternoon.  Once there they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside the home. He died a short time later at a local hospital.

Witness reported hearing gunshots and then spotted two men leaving the home on Oliver Street in a maroon van.

If the Allen County Coroner rules this shooting as a homicide, it’ll be the 44th this year for Allen County and Fort Wayne, tying the 1997 record.
