Coroner Rules in Oliver Street Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The man fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in Fort Wayne has been identified.

The county coroner’s office has ruled that Daniel Arnett died as a result of wounds in a shooting on Oliver Street.

That officially ties a record for homicides at 44, set in 1997.

According to authorities Arnett, was pronounced dead at a local hospital after the south side shooting.

Witnesses told police two men in a maroon van were seen speeding way from the scene.
