FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Michigan trucker was injured in Steuben County Tuesday morning attempting to avoid several deer.

Steuben County Sheriff's deputies say 47-year old Billy Jeffries of Coldwater, Michigan suffered head injuries when his truck rolled as he swerved away from the animals on Fremont Road, just north of Fremont. It happened just before 10:30.

The driver told police his truck rolled as over-corrected to attempted return to the road.
