FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Zoo is accepted applications for a $2,000 scholarship. The Lawrence A. Ackerman Scholarship gives a one-time award to a college-bound high school senior pursuing an animal-related career. The scholarship is open to seniors in Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley counties. The deadline is February 1st.
