Melting Snow, New Rain Creating Flood Threat

NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. (WOWO): If its not the snow, its the rain. National Weather Service forecasters say warming temperatures will mix with rain this weekend creating a strong possibly of flooding.

As temperatures moving well above freezing through Monday we'll bring a lot of snow melt. Then Saturday and Sunday morning we are looking at the possibility of 1 to 3 inches of rain.

With all the snow we have on the ground, that could combine for more than four inches of rain and melted snow straining low lying areas in addition to creeks and waterways.
