U.S. Marshals Arrest Truck Driver, Wanted in Reckless Homicide Case

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO):  U.S. Marshals arrested 51-year-old Scott Saunders, who is wanted in Allen County on 16 counts including reckless homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and criminal recklessness.

He was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon in Greenville, South Carolina.

His charges stem from a crash that happened back in January 2013. Saunders was driving a semi-truck when he hit several vehicles that were stopped at the intersection of State Road 930 east and Doyle Road.

Two people died in the crash and several others were injured.

When Deputy U.S. Marshals told Saunders they had an Indiana warrant for his arrest, Saunders admitted he knew what the warrant was about.  Saunders will await extradition back to Indiana.
