Huntington County Health Department Employee Arrested for Theft

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WOWO):  A 49-year-old employee of the Huntington County Health Department is arrested for theft.

According to officers with the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigation Division from the Fort Wayne Post, back in October 2013, an allegation of theft was made to the State Police by the Huntington County Auditor against Joseph Rakoczy, of Huntington.

The Auditor alleged that Rakoczy used a County-owned credit card to put $25.00 worth of gas into his own vehicle.

The case was reviewed and a single charge of theft, a Class D Felony was levied against Rakoczy and an arrest warrant was issued.

He was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Huntington County police. He’s being held in the Huntington County Jail on a $9,000 bond.
