ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): As of Thursday morning, two roads are still closed in Allen County due to high water. South County Line and Marion Center Roads between US 27 and Winchester Rd. remain closed. The Highway Department is reminding drivers that if they encounter a flooded road, be sure to turn around. There are still free sandbags for residents who need them. The fill-them-yourself bags and sand will be available anytime until further notice at: 2234 Carroll Road and 8317 East Tillman Road. Sandbags are available on a first-come basis and you will need to bring your own shovel. Citizens should not attempt to use salt as a flood preventative because it floats and dissolves, no longer blocking water.
