Canterbury Green Apartments Damaged by Smoke, Fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Just before 8 p.m. Friday, Fort Wayne fire crews were dispatched to Canterbury Green Apartments on report of an apartment fire. Once they arrived to the scene, they discovered several apartments filled with smoke, and fire in a ceiling space between the first and second floors. All occupants had evacuated the eight apartments that were affected. Officials say only two units received fire damage, and the rest sustained moderate smoke damage. No injuries were reported, and the cause is still under investigation.
