FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Smoke and flames were reported coming from a vacant home on Kirkland Avenue around 11:20 a.m., Tuesday morning.

Once Fort Wayne fire crews arrived on the scene around 11:25 a.m., they went inside the home and found heavy fire throughout the attic area of the house. Firefighters called for the insulation extractor and stayed on scene to ensure all hotspots were extinguished.

No injuries were reported, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
