Warrant Arrest Leads to Meth Lab in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): An active warrant for an Ossian man lead New Haven police to a meth lab and two arrests.

On September 11, around 7:30 p.m., a New Haven Police Officer was on patrol in the 200 block of Lincoln Highway West when he noticed former New Haven resident, 29-year-old Todd Lee, going into a trailer park. The officer knew Lee had an active warrant out for his arrest, therefore the officer called other police crews to the scene.

As officers approached the trailer park, they spotted Lee and 28-year-old Aaron Kelly of Fort Wayne, in the front room with what officers believed to be a meth lab. Once inside, officers noted a strong chemical odor, a large can of fuel, coffee filters and a funnel.

Officers then took Lee and Kelly into custody. While processing the scene, officers located more items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Lee and Kelly were each charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine,

Possession of two or more Precursors with the intent to Manufacture (both felonies), and Possession of Paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
