New Agricultural Venture Helps Northern Indiana Growers

MILFORD, Ind. (WOWO): A new agricultural company will be created by a joint venture in central Indiana.

According to the Journal Gazette, a $30 million grain elevator will be built in the town of Milford, located in Kosciusko County. Trupoint Cooperative Inc. and Cargill Inc. signed a letter of intent to combine Trupointe's crop input assets in Milford with Cargill's grain elevators in Breman and La Paz.

Construction will be complete by the 2016 harvest and the elevator is expected to accommodate 4.3 million bushels. The initiative is called, 'TruHorizons' and will create up to 10 new jobs. Northern Indiana growers will benefit from the project.
