UPDATE: Six People Arrested after FWPD Bust Meth Labs

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): On Wednesday, six people were arrested after Fort Wayne Police busted two methamphetamine labs within a few hours.

One lab was found in a room at the Quality Inn on W. Washington Center Road.  The hotel was evacuated and Hazmat crews were called in to help investigate. Three people were arrested- 27-year-old Timothy Eckelbarger, 44-year-old Melinda Zerbe, and 26-year-old Michelle Coppess. They now face charges in connection to manufacturing meth and possession of the drug, among other charges.

After police obtained a search warrant, they discovered an active meth lab at a home on Poplar Street. 32-year-old Manuel Martinez, 28-year-old Jonelle Miller, and 45-year-old Gary Maple were arrested on meth-related charges, including possession and manufacture of the drug, along with maintaining a common nuisance.

There's no evidence those two labs are connected to a bigger drug operation.
