FWFD Battles Two House Fires on Wednesday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Fire Department was on the scene of two house fires Wednesday night.

The first fire was reported at a home on the 2900 block of Trentman just after 5:45 p.m. when a neighbor saw black smoke coming out of a kitchen window. The small kitchen fire was under control in under 5 minutes.

Also on on the southeast side of town, FWFD was called to a home on Bowser Avenue just after 10 pm. The two occupants inside managed to make it out safe. The fire department was able to use their new oxygen masks on the 3 cats that were rescued.
