INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ The developers of a proposed southern Indiana coal-gasification plant say a measure advancing in the Legislature would kill the $2.8 billion project.
 
  The Evansville Courier & Press reports the House Utility Committee approved a bill Wednesday that would send the project back to regulators for another round of reviews unless the Indiana Supreme Court sides with the project’s developers.
 
  The case was appealed to the high court after the Indiana Court of Appeals last year reversed the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission’s approval of a 30-year contract that’s crucial to the project.
 
  Indiana Gasification LLC spokesman Mike Murphy says if the bill approved Wednesday passes the General Assembly in its current form it would kill what he called “the largest economic development project of the next decade.”
