Illegal Possession of Animal Parts, Leads to Multiple Criminal Violations

PIKE COUNTY, Ind.

both from Velpen, for various misdemeanor and felony violations involving the illegal possession of wildlife parts, drugs, and drug paraphernalia. 


According to investigators, officers received a tip about the illegal taking of a bobcat. Once officers obtained a search warrant, they found a bobcat, raptor, and some box turtle parts which are all illegal to possess.

Also during the search, officers discovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, controlled substances, and other suspected illegal drugs. 

Both Camp and Boarman were transported to the Pike County 
Sheriff’s Department. Further drug charges are possible pending lab results.
