Colt’s Owners Corrects Ticket Oversight

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WOWO): Many people believe Sunday‘s Super Bowl is being held in New York, but it‘s not, it‘s actually being played in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

That city‘s mayor, James Cassella, has been outspoken about the perception of just where the game is being played. Cassella wasn‘t even offered tickets to the game, that is until now.

Colts owner Jim Irsay offered the mayor two tickets in his suite for Sunday‘s game. Cassella told 1010 WINS in New York that Irsay felt it wasn‘t right that Cassella didn‘t have a chance to go to the game, so he offered the tickets. Irsay is well-known for giving away tickets and merchandise and going on diatribes, all on Twitter, but he hasn‘t mentioned a peep about this situation.

Cassella says “I was quite surprised, but also quite honored that he (Irsay) thought that way.”
