Delph vs. Republicans a Fight for Recognition

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Conservative state Senator Mike Delph said his fight over gay marriage on Twitter and with Senate Republican leaders was about placing a proposed ban before voters in 2014. But it also effectively raised his “Name ID'', a term for political currency used to win elections. Delph fought with angry Twitter users on shortly after the Senate pushed back a public vote on a gay marriage ban until at least 2016. He later was stripped of his power within the Republican caucus.
